01 Who we are

The Nail Studio (“we”, “us”) is a nail studio at First floor, 14-B Main Boulevard, Gulberg III, Lahore 54660, Pakistan. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

This policy covers our website, thenailstudiopk.com, and the information you give us when you book or visit — by WhatsApp, phone, email, Instagram or at the front desk.

02 What we collect

What you give us

• Your name, mobile number and, if you email us, your email address.
• Appointment details: the service, the technician you asked for, date and time, and your visit history.
• Notes you choose to share so we can work safely — for example an allergy to acrylates, a nail infection, or a condition such as diabetes that affects how we do a pedicure. We only record these with your agreement.
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp, Instagram or email.

What your browser sends automatically

• IP address and approximate location (city level) derived from it.
• Device type, browser, operating system and screen size.
• Pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or ad that brought you here.
• Identifiers stored in cookies, described in section 04.

We do not take card numbers on this website. Card payments are made on the terminal at the studio and handled by the bank that provides it.

03 How we use it

• To book, confirm, move and remind you of appointments.
• To answer your questions and messages.
• To keep you safe during treatment, using the health notes you have shared.
• To understand how people use our website and fix what doesn't work.
• To measure and show our ads on Google, including to people who have visited this site before (see section 05).
• To keep invoices and records that tax law requires of us.

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: carrying out the booking you asked for; our legitimate interest in running and improving the studio; your consent, for health notes and advertising cookies; and legal obligations, for tax records.

We never send marketing messages unless you've asked to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by replying “stop”.

04 Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We use them to count visits and to measure and personalise our Google ads. We do not use cookies to store your booking details.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work without them; you just won't be counted in our analytics or shown personalised ads from us.

05 Advertising & opting out

We advertise with Google Ads. Google and its partners use cookies to show our ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites, and to tell us how many bookings those ads led to. We see totals, not who you are.

Opting out means the ads you see are no longer based on your browsing; you may still see ads. Opt-outs are stored in a cookie, so if you clear your cookies or change browser you will need to opt out again. 06 Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who work on our behalf: WhatsApp (Meta) for messages, Google for analytics and advertising, our booking and point-of-sale software, our accountant, and the banks and wallets that process payments (card terminal, Raast, JazzCash).
• Authorities, when Pakistani law requires it — for example a lawful request from a court or tax authority.
• A new owner, if the studio is ever sold, who would have to follow this policy.

07 How long we keep it

• Client records and health notes: three years after your last visit, then deleted.
• WhatsApp and Instagram messages: twelve months.
• Invoices: for as long as tax law requires.
• Website analytics: fourteen months, after which Google Analytics deletes the data.

08 Security

Client records are kept in password-protected booking software that only the front desk and the founder can open. Studio phones and tablets are locked with a passcode, and paper consent notes are kept in a locked drawer. This website is served over HTTPS.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever puts your information at risk, we will tell you promptly and explain what we are doing about it.

09 Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• See the information we hold about you, and get a copy.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, unless we must keep it for tax records.
• Stop using it for a particular purpose, such as reminders or advertising.
• Withdraw consent you've given, for example for health notes, at any time.
• Move it to another provider in a common format.

To make a request, email privacy@thenailstudiopk.com or ask at the front desk. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within 30 days. There is no charge.

If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

10 Children

This website is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online. Appointments for clients under 18 are booked by a parent or guardian, who stays during the visit.

11 Transfers abroad

Some of our service providers, including Google and Meta, store data on servers outside Pakistan. When that happens, we rely on those providers' contractual and security safeguards to protect it.

12 Changes to this policy

We update this page when our tools or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you on this website or by message before it takes effect.
